Novaluron 10% EC is an emulsifiable concentrate containing 10 % w/w active ingredient. It is a broad- spectrum contact and stomachy insecticide.

Precautions
- Keep away from food stuffs empty foodstuff containers and animal food.
- Avoid contact with mouth, eyes and skin.
- Avoid inhalation of spray mist. Spray in the direction of wind.
- Wash thoroughly the contaminated clothes and parts of the body after spraying.
- Do not smoke, drink, eat and chew anything while spraying.
- While mixing and spraying, the users must wear protective clothing like long sleeved shirt, long pants, chemical resistant gloves, shoes, goggles, hat and mask.
Symptoms of Poisoning
Inhalation may cause coughing, shortness of breath, chemical pneumonitis, lung oedema, bronchospasm. Ingestion may cause vomiting, nausea, diarrhea. In case of skin contact redness, oedema or dermatitis may occur. Eye contact may result in tears or redness.
First Aid
Remove patient to fresh air. Do not induce vomiting if swallowed. Wash contaminated body parts with soap and water. Refer to physician. If eyes contaminated, wash with plenty of water.
Phytotoxicity
Non-phytoxic when used as recommended.
Antidote
There is no specific antidote treat symptomatically and give supportive therapy. If ingested perform gastric lavage and administer activated charcoal.
Disposal of Used Container
- Packages or surplus material and washings from the machines and containers should be disposed off in a safe manner so as to prevent environmental and water pollution.
- The used packages shall not be left outside to prevent their re-use.
- Packages shall be broken and buried away from habitation.
Storage Conditions
- Insecticide shall be stored in separate rooms and premises away from the rooms and premised used for storing other articles particularly of food or shall be kept in separate almirahs under lock and key depending upon the quantity and nature of the insecticides.
- The rooms and premises meant for storing the insecticides shall be well built, dry, well lit and ventilated and of sufficient dimension to avoid contamination with vapour.
